You’ll likely see results immediately, with the full effect becoming clear as any minor redness or swelling subsides over the following days.
Aftercare: Recovery is quick, with little to no downtime. Most of our patients resume their daily routines right away. However, it’s recommended to avoid strenuous activities and keep from touching the treated areas for 24 hours.

How long do the results from dermal filler injections last?

The lifespan of dermal fillers can vary depending on the specific product, the area being treated, and individual factors such as skin type and lifestyle choices. Generally, results can last from 6 to 24 months. For instance, hyaluronic acid fillers typically last 6 to 12 months, while calcium hydroxylapatite fillers tend to last between 12 and 18 months. Follow-up treatments are required to maintain the achieved effects as the fillers naturally break down over time.

Are the results of dermal fillers reversible?

Yes! Most dermal fillers are temporary, meaning the results will naturally fade over time. However, if you are looking for an immediate change, hyaluronic acid fillers are completely reversible. We do the Juvéderm line, which is our line of hyaluronic acid fillers, and they are wonderful for treating volume loss. So really, what we want to do with fillers is as we age, we’re going to lose volume. We’re going to lose our fat pads, and have bone loss. So things are going to fall down. So, we’re going to be wanting to add volume where we have lost volume, such as in our cheeks, our temples, and our jawline. A lot of people will come in and be complaining of, you know, the nasolabial folds starting to fold or they’re jawline. And those are the areas; instead of just filling those in, we want to fill where the volume is actually being lost, which is back in the cheeks, back in the jawline, and all the way through in the chin and eye temples as well. Hyaluronic acids can last anywhere from 12 to 18 months, sometimes as long as 2 to 3 years, depending on the area. We also have a line called Radius, which is our biostimulatory line, and that’s a calcium hydroxyl appetite. And the results for this type of a filler usually lasts longer than the hyaluronic acid line. So, this is a line that will stimulate collagen and elastin, and it will also build volume. This can last anywhere 9 to 18 months, but sometimes as long as 2 years. For this type of filler, it is not inserted into people’s lips. That is only the hyaluronic acid line. Before and after care for fillers, you want to come in and make sure you have a clean face. You should avoid taking any blood thinners before coming, as this can decrease your risk of bruising. However, with fillers, you will sometimes get some bruising and some swelling, and that is common. And then the swelling will subside, and all of the filler will just integrate seamlessly into the tissue. And it’ll be a beautiful effect. Aftercare, you want to avoid direct sunlight after, you want to avoid working out for 24 hours after, and you want to keep the area on your face nice and clean. We even recommend that you change your pillowcases after that and try not to sleep on your face. It’s kind of nice. I know we all can’t help it, but it’s nice to sleep when you’re back after getting fillers.

The fillers that we offer are the Juvederm line and the radius line. The difference between those two fillers is Juvederm is hyaluronic acid. And hyaluronic acid is a natural occurring substance that, um, is in our skin. It’s like a cushioning in our skin. It’s hydrating, so it’s a natural substance. The filler that we would be putting in and what it’s for is for volume loss, bone loss. As we age, we are gonna lose volume. Things are gonna drop. So we, we use those fillers for contouring, building up volume loss, and also just for fine lines and wrinkles because it does have the hydrating effect. It’s good for fine lines and wrinkles. The other line is radius, and that is a calcium hydroxyl appetite. And that’s a different type of a filler. So this is going to be little more robust. And, more simulation of bone.
Radius is a bio stimulant, and then the Juvederm line is hyaluronic acid.
The areas that can be traded with fillers is we, uh, we do a lot of the cheeks, full facial contouring. We start and we look for volume loss. So a lot of times we’ll look for the, in the temples here, there people will get a lot of volume loss as we age. Uh, the cheeks, the jaw line, then a lot of people would like the round the mouth filler because our, our, for the fine lines and wrinkles around our mouth, our nasal labial folds, our marionette lines. And then we can even use biostimulants in our neck too with, uh, the hyaluronic acid line, the Jupiter mine, you’ll see the results right away. You may have some swelling and some bruising after the actual, uh, procedure, but right away you’ll notice the volume that was injected, and you will see results right away. After the swelling goes down within, two to four days with radius, which is a bio stimulant, you will see results right away. If, if it was, you can be used two different ways. It can be used for, uh, restoring volume, but it also can be used for a bio-stimulant effect. So you can see, uh, results right away with that if it is not being hyperdiluted. If it’s hyperdiluted, you’ll begin to see results sometimes within two to four months. And then it even becomes more as the must go on, each filler lasts a little differently depending on where it was injected and which exact product was used for the lips. Usually they can last nine to 12 months. Um, sometimes it metabolizes quicker because we do use that area a lot. Our mouth, cheek and jaw, those can last from 12 to 18 months. And any area that we do directly on the bone, it’s gonna last a little longer. That can go up to two years. It usually will take about an hour long depending on what areas you’re getting. If you’re just getting one area, it’s about a 30 minute appointment. A lot of times you will last that you come in early cause we will do some numbing, but after care you just, you may have some bruising, you may have some swelling. Some people bruise and swell much more than others. So you don’t always want to do it right before a big event. You wanna give yourself at least a two-week period if you have something big coming up. But a lot of times you’re, you’re good to go right after. You just wanna, um, keep the areas clean. You don’t want to do, uh, physical activity for that 24 hours afterward. And yeah, some.

Mm-hmm. But you guys have been able to advance the process here at New U. Tell me about it. Yes. Well, first of all, Botox is the Neuromodulator that when we place it in the muscles of our face, it’s going to relax that muscle. Sure. And so by doing that, it creates a smoother look, a more youthful look. Mm-hmm. And for years we have been injecting the upper faces. Just this, the brow, right? Yeah. Well, the brow. Mm-hmm. The frown line, the forehead, the smile lines, and there’s just so many more benefits of Botox that we’ve been missing out on. Okay. And we obviously have, uh, muscles in the lower face as well that we’ve been ignoring. So, um, you know, for example, the DAOs here. Mm-hmm. If we go ahead and inject Botox here, it relaxes this muscle. This, over time can create those marionette lines on women. Sure. And then we also have the jawline and our platysmal bands, that are muscles in our neck. And when we strategically place that Botox in our jaw and in our neck. This will help lift this area and help with the jowling that we, that we get over time. Sure. And, um, it just creates a snatch look. Also helps elevate this midway face. We also, uh, it has been indicated, I have patients that come in and just get their macers done because it’s really good for people who clench their teeth that’s Behind the jaw. Right. Uhhuh. Okay. Yes. If they have, uh, teeth-clenching problems, they get headaches. So they come on a regular basis and, and just get that relaxed. It also is very slimming.
